Flew in on Thanksgiving Day to find the building locked up tighter than a drum and no self serve fuel. I had to water the lawn around back and then fly over to KGSP for fuel. Another pilot with a Twin Commander was disappointed with the lack of fuel also.

Flew in on a canine rescue mission for Pilots and Paws on a COLD January morning. RWYs and Taxi areas were cleared of snow better than most airfields in the NE. Great line services and hot coffee all at the ready even as a refurbishment of this fine FBO is underway. Great stop!

Flew into KSPA on Dec 10, 2010 on my first solo cross country and a few days of R & R. On my departure day the temp was below 20 degrees and I asked the FBO to hook up some electricity so I wouldn't kill the battery cranking it. They were happy to help and after a few attempts to crank it the starter stopped cranking the engine. They pulled it into the hangar, troubleshot the problem and ordered the part to be delivered the next morning. By 11am they had it fixed and started for me. I was wheels up by 12:00 noon and back at PDK soon after with my first solo cross country in my logbook. Great people at the airport. Helpful, friendly and prices for repair were fair.

We flew in for a visit to Wofford College on Thursday, 14 October 2010. They are in the middle of renovating their FBO but the temporary trailers were very adequate. Friendly people and good service.

VERY friendly small town type airport. If you need a rental car you need to call ahead. I would suggest you call ahead period. Very friendly, Very helpful but small (two guys on Saturday I flew in). Also had some glider traffic while I was there.

Flew in for a business meeting. What a great airport! I arrived after dark and was assisted with everything from tie downs and fuel to ground transportation. Thank you.

Parked here over July 4th weekend. Arrived the night before, couldn't find the tiedowns in the dark so I just left it chocked; when I returned for the flight home, it was secured (they use chains as tiedowns). The lone guy working there filled up the plane with gas quickly. Parking fees apply even with purchase of fuel.
