This is our favorite airport in this area and we rent a car to continue our journey when here. This time we met Jim - he had swapped shifts - he is as helpful as previous posters say.

Arrived at the beginning of some heavy rain (unplanned diversion) and were immediately welcomed. Bill greeted us on his way out and is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. Dallas is a great guy who would do anything to help--he put us up in a hangar and refused payment even though we insisted. Great service, nice courtesy car available (with good recommendations for where to stay in Cookeville--more selections than Sparta), nice self-serve pump and the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer!

Its already been said but I will again. Jimmy is straight up good folk. Also Dallas thanks for rental car on a Sunday and securing the gust lock I had forgotten.

This is a real hidden gem. Great fuel price, easy in and out, quick, friendly service, nice facility. They offered me a crew car to go into town to eat but I was in a hurry, so made the turn in under 30 minutes, including checking weather and filing a flight plan in their flight planning room. Great stop - highly recommended.

These guys are great even if I never met Jimmy. The rapid response on the ramp was followed by action to refuel the aircraft almost before we were clear. A quick file in an excellent facility and the fuel bill is ready before I was. The whole experience made it a pity to leave in such short order, but everyone was cheerful and understanding. This is an excellent halfway stop from the Midwest to Florida.

Haven't been to KSRB for a while...But even though the ownership has changed hands...Thank god Jimmy is still on the line weekday mornings to make KSRB the best stop in the area! Jimmy meets everyone as if they're family...Helps with every need from pulling a car around, to assisting with the $4.15 SS Avgas, and even making sure my pax are loaded up and nothings missed for their Sparta trip. If only I could hire him to work in Georgia!!! In short, KSRB is a great FBO because of their people and the fine facilities that they can work in... BTW... A 6000' Rwy with an ILS is a plus as well of course! Hopefully, the new...Albeit young owner will recognize the experience of the personnel that are the 'face' of KSRB and retain the factors which make me and others want to continue to use KSRB as their East TN stop.

Arrived at dusk 12-30-09. Relocating to SRB from Calif. (VNY) was greatly assisted by the friendliest people you could ask for. Bill, owner of the FBO, topped me off at the SS then towed my plane to its new hangar. (I am breaking in a new hip). The FBO is world class for the little guy. All the pieces are in place. Has an ILS as well.

Friendly staff. Cheap fuel. Quick getting in and out. Was not able to reach GCO was clearance. Used national clearance delivery telephone number.
