Dear Fellow Pilots: Whatever you do don't stop at this airport. I unfortunately elected to stop here due to headwinds and was ripped off at $5.50 100LL self serve. There was no running water and the bathrooms didn't work. A horrible experience. Plan your stops so you don't stop at "I've been ripped off" I58.

Stopped for fuel on 9/20/08. Runway just resurfaced. Easy access self serve area with pilot facility adjacent. The digital display on the self-serve pump functioned, but the display was barely readable. Good fuel price. A quick fuel stop with computer to check weather.

Just stopped by for self-serve fuel. Good to have crossing runways in this area. Nice, clean facilities.

I landed at Santa Rosa on my way from Wisconsin to San Diego. The airport has a nice area for pilots. I suggest a stay at the Comfort Inn near the airport. They will pick you up at the airport. The owner is great and will make your stay special. The famous Silver Moon sits on the original Route 66 is right next store to the hotel. It is a great place to eat.

If you're just looking for a convenient, no frills fuel stop, this is the place for you! The easy to operate credit card activated fuel has a reasonably competitive price and there is a new pilot's lounge with a clean restroom, air conditioning, high-speed and wireless Internet, and satellite TV, and a phone. Signs inside give a couple of phone numbers for businesses that will come pick you up for food and lodging. The only thing missing for me was a vending machine.

Here's an update on Santa Rosa. They now have self serve avgas. We contacted the police department and arranged for a hangar for two nights, no charge since we bought fuel. They have a new terminal building and have computerized weather and soon will have wireless Internet. There is a truck stop within walking distance that has a Subway sandwich shop. Overall it was a great place to stop. Jim with the police department was really helpful.
