Still an awesome stop! Cheap gas, friendly folks, great service, clean facilities, robust planning room, Internet access, and a clean courtesy van to go to the Bell Buckle Cafe. Keep up the great work we'll be back!

Same positive experience as described by others. Nice FBO with park-like area next to office. $.10 discount if you mention AirNav, and a good price regardless. DC-3 was parked on tarmac. Recommended hotel worked out well, as did the steakhouse next door to the hotel. Will stop here again.

Good service as usual. Jet A truck is inop so park in front of pumps UFN. Comfortable facility quick stop.

This is a great Airport surrounded by some beautiful Horse Farms. Nice gas prices with a very friendly FBO. They gave us the courtsey car and directions to wonderful Cafe for lunch. Hope to attend one of their fly-in breakfasts soon. Be sure to checkout the Arion Aircraft manufacturing facility on the field.

Flew into the airport to get some fuel on my flight back to Atlanta...What a great spot. Excellent fuel prices along with a great shady area outside the FBO with relaxing hardwood rocking chairs.... So comfortable after hours in the plane!!

From Pat Stallings on 01-Apr-2007
This is a great little airport, complete with rocking chairs to sit and visit. Gas isn’t bad, paid $3.39, no tie down fees. This plus the friendly courteous service provided by Bill made our visit with my brother and his family even better. My brother picked us up so can't speak of availability of transportation or meals.

Stopped in over Thanksgiving weekend for fuel. Good service at a fair price. It's a busy little airport from what we could see. There was a mix of pistons and a jet when we were there. The line was waiting to fuel us right when we landed. We were offered a courtesy car for lunch, but didn't need it. Nice to know it's there. Flight planning room is average, but like most, we can overlook a lot when the service is good. We will be back.

On a flight from TTA to FFZ, I stayed over in Shelbyville for 2-1/2 days because of weather. SYI is a great place to get struck. Great FBO, friendly people, nice town, good restaurants. This is what an FBO should be. Hank and his crew are the best. I even delayed my departure Saturday for the EAA breakfast. If you are going to or through TN. Shelbyville is a must. Hank also has a nice collection of aviation videos.

From Brett Williams on 27-Oct-2006
Hank and his crew continue to set the standard in service and facilities. Keep up the great work!

We mentioned AirNav and received a voluntary additional ten-cent discount. $2.99 for full service fuel is hard to beat. Always a friendly stop. We recommended it highly.

From Brian Peterson on 12-Oct-2006
A very willing to go the extra mile crew their...Not many people willing to pump 1000 gallons of Avgas at 4:30 in the morning. Every one was very profession and they have that down home feeling... The Bell Buckle Cafe was an excelent recommendation...Sure beats Burger King. Thanks to all the staff.

From Del Johnson on 11-Oct-2006
Awesome fuel stop. Clean place, friendly folks, courtesy car, planning room, full serve at $2.99. The courtesy car was in use while I was there, so the owner lent me his truck to eat at the Bell Buckle Cafe.

Stopped in twice last week just for fuel. Easy in and out, friendly service, great price and a good cup of coffee.

From Bob Lipson on 27-Sep-2006
Great prices and service. I found out about them through AirNav. When I told them that, they gave me another .10/gal discount. Under $3.00 a gal. Full service, easy in and out. Been there twice now. Thanks for your great website.

From Mike Peat on 11-Jun-2006
FBO very good service for a little town Airport. Fuel Prices a great deal. Has crew car but could use a new one. They are friendly!

From Skip Hartman on 24-Mar-2006
Friendly staff, clean facilities. Great place to stop for fuel or for a rest.

From Reid Vann on 15-Mar-2006
We were forced to land at Shelbyville by the weather. We found the people to be friendly and helpful. Because hail was predicted, I asked that my plane be placed in a hangar. They cleared a space for me and braved the rain to hangar the plane. When I tried to pay as we were leaving they said there was no charge. I recommend them highly.

From Mike Walker on 23-Feb-2006
Stopped in on the way from DC to Little Rock. Great service, really friendly staff and the two cats ("Stick" & "Rudder", what else). Good runway, cheap fuel, nice people, great place to stop at.

From Joe Carr on 13-Jan-2006
Flew into SYI and was treated splendidly. How can you do better than $3.00 gallon 100LL? I always make an effort when I am close to stop in and give them my business.

From Carlos Roca on 14-Dec-2005
Flew in with a Premier 1 and purchased a few hundred gals of Jet A. Friendly staff, nice FBO while you wait and great prices. We'll be back.

From William Hartshorn on 06-Nov-2005
Nice airport and great folks. Picked up a C421 after annual with Charles @ Mack Air. I would recommend this airport and the work done by Charles.

From Harry Bush on 27-Aug-2005
We stopped in for fuel and an overnight stay. Fuel was reasonable and the personnel were very professional and helpful. John took us to our motel and offered to pick us up the next morning if the motel didn't bring us back. Definitely a good place to stop.
