I like this fuel stop when traveling cross country. Prompt service, decent AirBoss discounts and a restaurant that has good diner style food. The waitress seems to remember me even though I only come through a few times a year. Good instrument approaches, that sure came in handy my last 400 and 2 arrival. Definitely recommend.

A very friendly FBO, from the linemen to the desk crew. And a nice facilty with a very comfortable pilots' lounge and lobby. Also, there's a restaurant in the building, though we didn't have time to sample their wares on this trip.

Called ahead to let them know what we'd need, and they were on the spot when we arrived. Exceptional line service and very quick to settle our account. The controllers are the nicest you'll find anywhere! The restaurant was filled with $100 hamburger patrons and although we were in a hurry, the pace remained the same. Keep this in mind if you're in a hurry and hungry... The restaurant may not be your best alternative. However, the food was good and the crowd seemed generally pleased.

Stopped at Kansas Air Center twice on my way to and from Colorado Springs. Friendly tower controllers, friendly line people. However, on my way back to Indiana, I asked to have the airplane hangared and was told that no heated hangar was available. The next morning (10-09-09) the airplane was covered with frost, and their engine heater (Dragon Fly) was out of bottled gas! The line person was nice enough to put me into the heated hangar, and we dried the airplane and hooked up my electric engine heater. Morale: Inquire before you leave the airplane overnight whether pre-heater is working and ask about heated hangar space.

Stopped in on my way home to Georgia on 6-28. Very friendly line personnel. Very clean facility. Called us a cab and took care of my 210 for the night. Highly recommend.
