I've flown to Tunica several times and have always had a pleasant experience with service above and beyond. I fly a long EZ which has an unusual parking/towing requirement and the staff is always very accommodating. The airport manager (Skip) came in at 5:30 AM to help with my early departure. Kudos.

Just returned from a visit to Tunica UTA. It was a great, lineman and front desk very helpful. Very nice terminal with great flight planning facilities. Reserved a rental car in the terminal. Enterprise they also were very helpful. Keep up the good work and Thanks for a very good experience.

Hats off to the folks at Tunica Air Center! After having flown into there for many years, I am amazed at how fast the airport is growing. Who would have thought they would have scheduled Air Carrier (B737) service and a 9500' runway! Yet the employees at the Air Center continue to make you feel important regardless of what you fly or how much fuel you purchase. They are a great example of how an FBO should be operated! Good Job Folks!

Made a quick stop to pick-up an urgent part for my work. The staff was very helpful despite two guys who were dirty and smelly from working in the heat. We parked under the cantilevered canopy and got the red carpet. A nice addition is the "new" deli. (Their version of a Reuben is very good). Cliff, give my thanks to your staff for great treatment despite our terrible appearance. Did not buy fuel, but looked very reasonable. Great airport! They've come a long way from a town that used to have one flashing light and one gas station. If you have time, I highly recommend the "Blue and White" diner in town. Great chicken-fried steak.

Casinos took me to Tunica. Great airport and FBO in the middle of nowhere. Excellent fuel prices, and great help in renting a car (no more than 10 minutes). Don't hesitate in stopping there.

Flew in for the casinos. Great airport and FBO. Get rental car transportation is very spotty. We did use Kenny from the comment below (662-357-0890) to drive us from the airport and back, very prompt, $35 for the trip.

I just read the last comment. I don't get it. I have landed here no less than 20 times. I have never had bad service. As a mater of fact, I would rate this FBO as one of the best if not the best.

Unfortunately, this is yet another case of an absolutely amazing facility run by people who could care less about the customer. We spent 2 nights in Tunica on our way back to CO from NC transporting a newly purchased aircraft. They did not answer Unicom on any of our 3 tries. We had called earlier in the day to check stock on some charts and transportation; they could not have been less. When we left this morning (in the rain), the desk staff barely gave us the time of day and just watched as we made several trips back and forth to the ramp (although they drove right past us in their covered golf cart). Upon arrival, there was both a local sheriff deputy and TSA security person just standing at the front desk reading the paper. I am sure that the casino money (taxes) helped pay for the place, but it is not run very efficiently. We did however find a good local driver who runs a shuttle (taxi) on the side between the airport, hotels and casinos (Kenny @ 662-357-0890).

I stopped at UTA for an Angel Flight relay last Sunday morning. No courtesy cars were available, but the line guys drove me the 2 -3 miles to a local famous restaurant and picked me up after lunch. The lunch was great and the cook even came out to my table to clarify and deliver my order. Fuel was under $ 4.00 and the FBO is in a fantastic building.

Just got my private pilot 9/15/06. I am based out of KALX and 11/13/06 made the trip to the "World Famous Tunica Airport" and that it was indeed. Just like other post stated they rolled the red carpet out as we parked at the front door (my wife was blown away saying, "do they do this for everyone)? Rental car was 100 ft away and in less than 5 minutes we were headed to our hotel. 11/16/06 got back to airport and returned the rental car with ease and then we realize the weather was not VFR all the way backs to Lake Martin (about 250 miles ESE) so we played our first waiting game. The staff was so incredible and told use we had their undivided attention as they put a fresh pot of coffee on and a new kettle of popcorn. 5 hours later we were ready to take off but when we got into our plane the windows were fogged over. Lineman to the rescue and we were headed home. PS: They had me topped off with fuel too. PSS: My GPS still showed M97 as Tunica identifier. PILOTS - You gotta go to Tunica!!!

Transportation is spotty at best. Flew in twice 10/14, and 10/18. No dedicated crew cars. Crew cars are rental cars that haven't been rented (ie. No rental cars, no crew cars). If you plan on a rental make sure you have reservations. If you call and get a quote on one car, you may have to rent a more expensive one if the one you wanted is not available. Other than that pretty nice place.

Great service and hat's off to the office staff. We made the mistake of not getting advance transportation to the casinos and would have had a 2-3 hour wait. But the front desk crew went way out of their way to get us there and back. Service was great, prices good and an experience we will remember well. As Arnold say's, We'll be back.

Wireless Internet access was free inside the FBO! Just brought in my laptop to check email and weather. I parked my Mooney under the "shade overhang" so it did not get hot while they refueled! Excellent facility! I was there Jul 24 and Aug 1 2006.

Absolutely first class service. Flew in May 1, 2006 and left May 3, 2006. My baggage was carefully tended to, my airplane given the royal treatment even to having the windshield washed. I cannot say enough great things about the service I was given.

Not a bad airport, FBO helpful, friendly, and in general, a nice destination. I would, however, stay away from the Grand Casino hotels, had a really bad experience with them. Glad they don't run the airport!

Well, it is nice. Of course, with an unlimited budget and land taken from long time residents--most of which is still tied up in the legal system--it should be. I miss the old airport, though.

Stopped overnight in Oct 2005. This is the newest best FBO in the country. They are gearing up the facilties and service for increased gambling traffic and both are fantastic. The people are great and the FBO is world class. Will definitely stop by in the future.
