Easy fuel stop. Plenty of ramp parking, fuel truck drove over quickly and then met us inside later to pay the bill. The terminal building is a little shabby and the cafe food isn't so good, but FBO service was great.

Nice airport. We didn't get to check out the diner, but we've heard it is good. If you're there, make sure to check out the Milestones of Flight Museum located on the field. There are a lot of neat planes there! If you buy fuel here, make sure to estimate the number of gallons you'll need, don't just press the fill up key. I told it I wanted a fill up and it put a hold on my credit card for $375, when we only bought about 15 gallons of fuel. It took days for the hold to clear and the right amount to be charged.

Airport is not helicopter friendly, they won't allow self-serve fueling of helicopters because it is too dangerous? I've been flying for YEARS and out of the 100+ airports I've fueled at this is only the second one with such a dumb rule... Tower seemed unfamiliar with helicopters as well, they wanted us to depart from the ramp area in out Robinson R22 @ 6000+ DA which was extremely dangerous... We had to fight with the tower just to depart from the taxiway to make a safer departure... WJF we won't be back!

Stop in regularly since it is located close to my home airport. Restaurant is good, service from the fuelers is good, and both located in the main terminal building. Had a dead battery, the airport staff was very good about getting me a jump and on my way. Thanks!

I have flown in and out of WJF many times, and have always been pleased with the prompt and polite service of the airport workers. American Airports certainly sets the standards in the Aviation service arena. A+++

Fuel from Amer A/P Corp was 4.39 on 9/01/09. Good service but people hard to find and lot of walking.

Agree with the Sep 08 comment - help is there if you ask for it. Not a soul in sight when taxied in - had to just "pick a spot" and hope it was okay. Walked to Barnes where we had a car reserved, and Andy told me to find the guy in the red shirt ... Had to track him down walking across the (big) ramp. Helpful and friendly, but be prepared to hike a bit to find fuel (jet A, so needed the truck). Easy in/out airport, so good experience all in all -- just not much in customer service.
