I'd been coming to Oceano for years but never realized we could take our dog to the Rock & Roll Diner. They have a dog-friendly patio out back, where we had lunch today. The curly fries are delicious, as are the burgers. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Service was excellent, too.

I can't believe none of the other reviews have yet mentioned that this place is built into an old TRAIN CAR! Great decor, great service, decent food. Very quick walk from the airport (walk east).

Came in just after sunset and found it easy to find by walking towards the highway. Great atmosphere and satisfying food. Thanks

I flew into Oceano (L52) today and made the 3 minute walk to the 50's dinner. Had a really good tri-tip sandwich. The service was very friendly. I would love to go back, assuming SLO county does close the airport. Then made a 5 minute walk to the beach and watched the waves. Keep up the good work!

Fun 50's style food and decor. Check out their cinnamon rings.

Cool little spot! The walk to the restaurant is no more than 5 minutes. Has a neat 50's theme and is stationed in an old train car. We had a couple burgers and they were very good! Cheers!

Nice dog-friendly patio area behind the rail cars. Tri-tip sandwich is very tasty as are their onion rings! Very friendly and fast service! Great lunch stop!

Sorry to disagree with the other comments. However, my dinner there ~2yrs ago was pretty bad. The abundance of flies buzzing dinner didn't help. This morning decided to try breakfast there. The food was pretty bland and sub par. On a positive note the people serving us were very friendly. I won't be back...
