Nice place. No fuel. Too bad. Off the stop list from here on out.

Flew in, gas is still $2.99/gal. Call the park office from the small terminal bldg and they send a maintenance guy out to unlock the pump, turn it on and process your credit card (SS machine is inop). They have 1300 gal left and will then stop selling fuel due to new legislation. A great place to visit!

March 4th, 2007 I was told that there is no one working at the terminal now and that the fuel that they have will be the last that they will have. They said that they did not know how much water might be in the tank.

Stopped here yesterday, Friday, and like others have said there was not a soul around. They have "self-serv" pumps, but you can't operate them yourself. After realizing this and calling the number posted for "fuel or a car" I had to wait twenty minutes for someone to show up. The guys were friendly enough and after getting the air out of the fuel line I was filled up and on my way, but I don't understand the concept of having self-serv pumps that you have to call someone out to operate.

Flew in from Memphis to eat at the Ky State Park Lodge. They picked us up and took us to the restaurant for Sunday Lunch, Food was great. We arrived at the restaurant and waited for a few minutes, no one seated us so the cashier said to find our own table. We sat down and waited for few minutes, no one showed up at our table so we decided to go ahead and eat. After a very nice meal including Prime Rib with all the trimmings we waited for a check for ten minutes. No one showed up, we went to the cashier to pay and she said since they didn't seat us or bring us a check we could leave without paying. Needless to say if things don't change they will get all our Sunday lunch business in the future.

Flew in from EHR to go eat at KY Dam Lodge - very good food and reasonable cost at buffet. Patti's is also a great place to eat. Either will come out and pick you up - cell phone worked once we got down to 2500' and the van was waiting when we pulled up. I think someone is living in the apartment now at FBO building and fuel will be more available.

Great location, not much for FBO service. Landed at about 10:30am local on a Monday, not a soul around. Called the phone number on the wall of the "FBO" and someone showed up about 10 minutes later and gave us a ride to the Marina. Kentucky Dam/Lake is a great place to visit and we loved the stop. Gas was the cheapest around and we didn't have any problems filling up before we left. Ate at Patti's and that's a must for anyone stopping at M34. Call the number and they'll pick you up. Shuttle service could not have been better. We'll be back.

We had a blast - flew down there from K39 just to eat at Patti's. My first time there. The guy at the FBO asked me before landing if I was there to go to Patti's. When I said yes he ran out and stopped the van that was about to depart. We got to hop on the van as soon as we tied the plane down. He fueled me up when I got back. I've stopped there twice and someone has always been there (once on Friday and once on Saturday).

Stopped twice last fall, once in October and again in November. I was unable to get fuel either time. Called, but no one ever showed for 45 minutes. We ate at Patti's. It is great!! Patti's is why we stopped the second time. We bought the high priced fuel at Metropolis, IL after departing both times. How do we get fuel at M34?
