The fuel truck system is no longer being used. The old fuel island toward the SE end of the ramp area has been rebuilt with a nice self-serve pump. No problems. Fuel priced as listed on AirNav.Com.

Flew in on 8-27-2009 in my Mooney on the way back from LA, In LA I had checked the fuel prices on AirNav and found this to be the best at $3.90. When I arrived I went to the pumps but they looked like they were from 1960 and no Card machine, I asked at the small Office (FBO Maybe) and they said to talk to the guy with the fuel truck. I did and he came right over to my plane. He said the fuel had gone up to I thought he said 4.15 but when I mentioned the AirNav price he called his boss and they gave me that price. There is a busy flight school there that they are fueling pretty steady but they took the time to come over and take care of me. It is still kind of a ghost town and could use better signs and markings for us Transient pilots but this airport is looking up from last year when I too was told no fuel except for emergency. I think this is the newer FBO and they are off to a good start.

Response from George Vierra, Line Operations Manager, Turlock Air Center LLC
Derek, Thank you for your comments, and YES, we are the new FBO on the field. Those old tanks you pulled up too "are" from the 60's and you will be happy to know, they are no longer in use. We have installed a "new" state of the art fuel farm on the other end of the field, which will have self serve available by year-end for customers arriving after hrs. That being said, keep in mind anytime you arrive during normal business hours "Full Service" is provided at self serve prices, which is a policy we plan to continue long after the self serve island is completed. Service is the name of the game, and we intend to provide the best available in the valley. Thank you again for you comment and we look forward to seeing you on your next trip our way.
