Check for availability before you land. On Mondays, they can run out from heavy weekend sales. Also make sure someone is there to charge your credit card. Otherwise, ditto the other comments.

Flew in on a Sunday. Called Allan's listed cell phone number. Although he wasn't in the office, I was given detailed instructions on how to go about getting fuel. Hotels and restaurants just a 10-minute walk away. A great stop!

Stopped by 15May2008. As explained the fuel pump is not entirely self-serve...Does not have a card reader and is turned on from a locked breaker in the office. Price displayed on pump is fixed at $1/gal so they don't have to fiddle with the pump when prices change, actual price was $4.65. If Alan isn't there, call the listed numbers. The first one 928-524-6225 went to city hall, who then gave me Alan's cell number. At the time, he was out surveying fence line for a new paved ~3000x60' crosswind runway (plans on display in office) and patiently gave me instructions for how to get fuel and leave him a note with my contact info. I ended up going into town for a snack and I met him and he ran my card when I got back. One annoying thing was that the ground wire unspooled about 12' or so then jammed, so I had to reposition the plane to get it in range. Otherwise, neat people, neat airport, and looking forward to the coming runway/taxiway upgrades.

Several restaurants are within walking distance. Went to Walked to Jerry's for b'fast...Decent food. A Denney's is a little bit closer. Fuel price posted for avgas was as advertised except the electricity to the pump was in a locked box in the office/FBO so we couldn't turn on the pump. No card reader either. Called the numbers posted but no help. Then again, it was a Saturday and perhaps we screwed up but...Suggest calling ahead if you need fuel here.

Stopped for gas to and from Angel Fire (AXX). Service was great. In and out in minimum time. Did have to call on Sunday but only waited a few minutes for the guy to show up and fuel my airplane. Phone # is on the door which was open.

Need to call ahead as the pumps if arriving during "off hours" as the pumps are not self-serve. Still, the FBO was open so I could relax while I waited; nice runway, hotels and restaurants nearby are nice!

Very Friendly Service- Received greetings over the radio as I landed and departed and the Fuel attendant was very helpful. Several places to eat within walking distance. Will be visiting again soon.

Good fuel stop. Price was $3.76/gallon, as advertised, inclusive of tax. Alan was there in a few minutes after I called, and gave me instructions to turn the pump on so I could get started before he arrived. They're looking to pave the crosswind runway and do some major work around the airport in the near future, just waiting for the AIP funds to come in. Food and hotels is a several minute walk away, probably not too bad, but I wouldn't want to do it with a bunch of bags.

Thanks to Alan (FBO manager) for coming out to help us fuel on a Sunday evening. He arrived within minutes of calling him. Phone numbers are clearly listed on the FBO door. Alan has a lot of useful information about the area. Getting fuel was very easy here.

Great place to stop for fuel and RON if needed. Hotels are very close. Try the Italian Restaurant that is close to the airport. VERY GOOD!! Jerrys is good for breakfast. Alan will give you directions. Plenty of Western history in Holbrook. Tour the old court house now a museum.

Cheap fuel and very nice airport manager. Courtesy car available too. Stopped both going to and coming from ABQ, and saved about $1.00 a gallon from buying fuel at ABQ.

CHEAP GAS!!! Cheaper than St Johns and they pump it for you. My bladder wouldn't make it to Double Eagle. It was Labor Day, the office was unlocked but no one home. I called the number listed and within 5 minutes Alan was there to pump fuel. Did I say how cheap it was?!! Nice little airport with a lot of runway and just off the airway. A couple restaurants within a mile. Without asking I was offered a crew car.
