Just so you know. Ketchikan does not have a tower. It is a flight service station (FSS). However, it is one of the few places that you have to talk to the briefer before entering the airspace so that you can get an advisory due to the complexity and usage of the area/airspace. The airport is by far one of the worst to deal with. If you come into KTN after hours you will be charged a call out fee of $75.00 by Aero Services. There is no man gate to get off of the airport. If you land with nobody at Aero Services you will have to call for a call out just to get them to let you off the airport. Beware of Ketchikan.

Aero Services is the only FBO. Their sign is somewhat diminutive but they are located just south of the tower. Friendly, but not overly so, and fueled the aircraft on time at $5.51/gal. Not related to Aero services: The ferry from airport to mainland is $5.00 per person (seemed expensive to me ($40.00 for 4 people round trip for a 4 minute ferry ride each way. Stayed at the Gilmore Hotel in town, was great historic hotel with free shuttle to and from town to the ferry dock.
