Stopped at Northway for fuel & customs on May 20, 2007. Fuel was $5.69/gal. The young lady in charge of the inn/restaurant/fuel was friendly and helpful. The cheeseburger tasted good after breakfast at McD's in Whitehorse. FSS guys were great brought back good memories of visiting the FSS prior to flight. Runway is still not paved - packed gravel & pretty good shape. East most 1500' or so not usable due to earthquake damage.

Cook/Inn keeper/Fuel guy was nice, but the fuel smelled "funny". Ran good in the airplane though. $5.25 was new price on 7/4/06. Gravel strip in good shape. On field FSS guy was rude & useless. He told me to call Fairbanks FSS @ 1-800-WX-BRIEF. It was 30 min after his closing time and so he "knows nothing". The $75/night inn was the skankiest one I've stayed in a long time. I'd say, "emergency or customs use only" for this field.

Fuel's not cheap, one of the most expensive stops between Ohio and Alaska. Relatively easy to clear customs, here, though. Gravel was well packed and did not damage to our 172. Self-serve fuel only.
