How many times can a person yawn in 2.5 hours? I am a sport pilot so I needed to take a CFI with me on a tour of the island in a 172. Unfortunately, Kyle was the CFI they assigned me on my flight. He yawned continuously throughout the entire trip. After the flight, when I tipped him 20% of the CFI charge, he mumbled thank you and walked away. HFI is a good place to go to rent but ask for someone other than Kyle.

HFA is currently DBA as Island Hoppers. We took a delightful flight around the Big Island with Ben in the right seat. When we arrived, the plane fueled, pre-flighted and ready to go. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Next time, I may do the check out and fly myself, but not because I didn't enjoy flying with Ben. Ruth, Island Hoppers dispatcher, was also great to work with and charming.

Took the 207 out as a dual with Michael as the IP and my extended family in the back. WOW! Dude, we saw lava!

I checked out with instructor Ben on a Sunday, and then rented on Monday to take my family on a circumnavigation of the island. The checkout was professional, and Ben was very thorough in briefing me on the several Hawaii specific procedures that would otherwise have been confusing to a mainlander like me. Great staff - will definitely rent from them again.
