I felt like the staff at the airport (at least when it came to helping me park, get a rental car, fuel, add oil and then leave when the time came) did a great job. I did not try to walk across an active runway with an aging canine, so I can't speak to that. All I know is that I parked far away from the office and the staff kept walking or riding bikes to help me out, bringing me an oil funnel, my car, etc. With no complaint and obvious concern for helping my little kids and me. The experience was just like everywhere else at Sunriver -- nice staff, helpful, easy-going.

Free bicycles available for going to the Trout House to eat (excellent food) or the Lodge (even better food). Special rates available at the resort for stranded pilots at $89 (can be stretched by definition if you just want to stay there and not stranded) along with day rental of new 2 seat convertible BMW for $80/day rather than the standard $120/day rate. Excellent destination resort area and FBO.

I agree with the previous poster's comments about the new management. He was quite rude to me on my visit two weeks ago. Everything else was great though love Sunriver!

Friendly staff, stayed a couple hours, didn't charge me anything. Have visited 3 times and always pleasant, clean facility, easy access to parking.

The FBO staff - great! The airport manager should go. While walking back to the resort with my 15 yr. Old Golden Retriever (the same route I used 45 minutes prior), I was told I had to walk around the airport (approx 2 miles) to the resort in 80+ weather. This has never happened to me, nor anyone else I know who fly into Sunriver, before. Except when luggage needs to be transported, all walk the same route. The manager insisted that NO one has ever walked the .4 miles direct route from the airport to the resort, nor has the shuttle ever used that route. With that being said, the airport manager either needs an historical update or just flat out is untruthful! He finished with a strange ban that speaks volumes about his overall inability - without knowing my name, plane, etc., he told me I was "not welcomed to fly into the airport again – it's private". With the airport managers' attitude, there will be a Revenue Loss to Sunriver. It took us an hour to go around 75 feet.

New airport management has really cleaned up the FBO and surroundings. Radio transmission from the FBO is weak so turn up the volume. Very nice staff at the FBO. Free shuttle to various Sunriver activities and free bikes if you want to stretch you legs.

Great place to fly in to. We just flew in for the afternoon and lunch. Walker at the FBO couldn't have been more helpful, and it was an easy 5-minute walk to the lodge. They offer a shuttle as well, but the walk really is nice. We'll be back!
