Just to update, St. Maries is indeed a diamond in the rough for all the reasons mentioned below. It remains one of my favorite stops in the gem state. Thank you St. Maries.

Great small airport, with courtesy cars, cheap fuel and pilots lounge. Had no problem with card reader. Apt is close to town and good recreational country is close by.

100LL was $4.95 on 7/13/08. As has been stated in a prior post, this is a hidden gem.

Amazing hidden gem. Fuel really is $4.45 a gallon, there are three loaner cars and trucks in good order, and there is a very nice lounge available. Great place! And my kids loved the windsock: a real F-100 on a pole that points into any wind greater than 5 kts.

Card reader says Visa MasterCard American Express and Discover accepted, but would not accept my American Express or Discover. Visa worked just fine.
