I have had my C182 based at H&R for almost two years. The service is great and the staff is friendly. They do all of my inspections and maintenance with high quality and quick turnaround. Fuel prices are reasonable. The ramp is a bit crowded but the line crew is always there to move planes around to get you to the gas pumps. Self service is across the runway from H&R if you prefer to save $0.50 a gallon and pump it yourself. You might even get a chance to meet Debbie Rihn-Harvey who owns the FBO and is a legend in the competition aerobatics world with more championships than she can keep track of. You will enjoy these folks and their service.

I like stopping here for the quick turn around, Debbie and the line guys are great... Nothing about this airport is first class, the ramps here and at Tri-Star are small, but the service here makes up for it.

I too might get a first impression of Harvey & Rihn simply by looking at the exterior, but I do know the depths of quality training you'll receive working with their organization. One thing I like about LaPorte airport is the potential for new development. Debbie has a master plan.
