COPECA

Greetings from the Caribbean's best and newest FBO. When your next flight takes you over the Caribbean you can save lots of time and money by using our friendly FBO.

We are located in the NW corner of Puerto Rico and our airport has the longest runway in the Caribbean (11300 ft). BQN/TJBQ is a U.S. Authorized port of entry. There are U.S. Customs, U.S. Immigration, and USDA facilities available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. So from here on it's a U.S. domestic flight.

If you wish to stay in Puerto Rico for a few days we can arrange lodging, car rentals, catering, and other services usually found in the best FBO's. We have state of the art lounge facilities for crew and passengers, as well as 16,000 sq. ft. of hangar space and 36,000 sq. ft. of open ramp.

Our personal approach to high-quality customer and line service is unique in the industry. Copeca Jet Center was designed by professionals like you. From the first telephone call to set up your reservations to waving goodbye, our exceptional staff will take care of all your needs.

I landed here in May, 2011 to clear Customs on my Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) after a short day trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. After clearing Customs a strong storm to the south prevented me from landing on my destination airport which was only 15 mins away by plane. After refueling and waiting 5 hours the storm was just stationary and would not allow us to cross the mountains to get to our destination so we had to get a taxi to our destination which was 1 hour by car. Copeca allowed us to leave our LSA in their hangar overnight without charge. Our little LSA could fit easily in any corner. Outstanding service from this FBO. This type of service is not common in many FBO's. I will return in December with a group of LSA's flying in from Miami to Puerto Rico and we will for sure make Copeca our fuel base!

Perhaps the best place for a fuel stop in the entire Caribbean; incredibly cheap and very fast! Stopped in, in my C414. Tower asked if we wanted the outgoing IFR clearance as we were taxiing into the ramp, which sped things up even more. After fueling, the lineman had to call his boss to verify what the AirBoss discount was, but we did get it in the end, without a problem. Even got some excellent ground Puerto Rican coffee to take with us! As I said, great stop!

Copeca is on the ball. Very nice and helpful group of folks. 200 yds W of Customs. Copeca went above and beyond to meet our needs. $10 landing fee. Dct flt's back to U.S. Require USDA inspctn. USDA ops 8-5 M-F. After hour fees steep ($200+ for Sat/Sun). Avoid delays/fees by filing to BHS and amend to U.S. Enroute over BHS if capable non-stop.

If I had to describe COPECA with just one word, it would have to be accommodating. Prompt, courteous service is what I found during my recent visit. Of course they do sell fuel, but it seems to me their best product is how well they tend to your other needs.

These people are very courteous, professional and efficient in the handling of their jobs. I landed in a westwind, was met with a beaming smile, cleared thru U.S. Customs and refueled in thirty minutes. They will assist in forwarding all your information to customs and assist you in any way. I'll always stop here to clear customs from the Islands.

Visited with SR22. What makes Copeca really different is the staff! Staviel on the ramp was very helpful, with quick turn. Rosa and Michelle are super friendly and bring a level of fashion elegance rarely seen in an FBO. Highly recommend a stop at Copeca!
