This is my second time venturing into Lee Airport. I was less apprehensive this trip than I was the first time. Turns out it was less of a problem getting into Lee with my Bonanza than it was with my then 182 10 years ago. Overnight parking is $5. If nobody is at the FBO, just leave your $$$'s in the drop box at "The Little White House". Quaint!! This airport is worth the trip even if you have to deal with the hassles of the SFRA. Take the FAA course.

This place has become a favorite destination for us in our Tri-Pacer. It's an old school airport where you can actually see airplanes tied down outside like when we were kids. The runway is fairly short but with proper airspeed no problem, I've seen a Piper Apache and a couple of Pitts based there so it's plenty long enough, of course be careful with your loading and density altitude on warm days but that goes for any airport. The young man that runs the fuel desk is very friendly and helpful and always goes out of his way to make sure we have what we need. Easy to get an Uber into town. Easy to get an SFRA clearance over the phone. Overall a fantastic little airport that we will visit again soon.

Great little airport. We had an unfortunate incident involving foreign object damage and a lawnmower while parked at Lee. Accidents happen - it's how things are handled after that really tells you the quality of an organization. I was impressed by the way the airport handled the incident and appreciate the help from both the airport management and Chesapeake Aviation in getting the aircraft flying again. Hertz Annapolis did a good job of getting a vehicle to us at the airport - 442-891-3017 is the best number for the local agent. Call during normal business hours and they will drop off the vehicle at the airport. Hertz national numbers are pretty useless - use the number above or contact the airport.

Not sure anybody cares if you come here or not.... But, close to downtown and plenty of parking in the grassy area along 12-30. 30 is short, and trees are at the end...I did not see a twin of any kind, and, if you are hot and heavy, maybe choose the bay bridge airport.... Would I come back? Yes, for the location.Response from Van Lee, Airport Manager, Co- Owner, Lee Runway Manager, LLC Mr. Stuart, We at Lee Airport most certainly do care about our airport. Airports across the country like ours are closing at an alarming rate. General Aviation is a tough business everywhere. We do our best all given. Currently there are two twins based at KANP. Hertz and Budget both service the airport. I hope your stay was enjoyable. The 2505' listed is before displaced thresholds. 2100' approximately is what is available. I would agree with you a hot day, full passengers and fuel one would consider an alternative to Lee. Thank you for your comments. Regards
