Mitch still providing great service brought Suburban crew car out to plane just before 5:30 closing. Hampered by new FBO building which no longer has 24/7 access to bathrooms pilot lounge, planning, internet, TV etc. and coffee and food. Wish airport planner’s archs and engrs would better understand needs of private pilots on long cross-countries with 4-hour legs topped off with relatively low cost Phillips fuel but other airports nearby are cheaper and may offer more but they can’t top Mitch and Oscar!Response from Dane Rideout, Town Manager, Town of Elizabethtown Curtis Brown Airport is making great strides to improve services to visitors by offering low gas prices and clean bathrooms. Access to the terminal after hours is now available through instructions on the lockbox accessed from the apron. A new state of the art facility with a conference room, classroom space, pilot lounge and free Wi-Fi throughout. Two courtesy cars are available to visit the coolest small town in eastern NC. Cape Fear Vineyard and Distillery along with Melvin's burgers satisfy the $100 hamburger check box and Elizabethtown is home to Burney's Sweets...doughnut like croissants that are out of this world! The Elizabethtown Inn and Cape Fear Vineyard offer phenomenal accommodations and Elizabethtown is ripe with day trip attractions. Come see us for a visit!!
