I landed my Cessna 441 at Yingling Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, and their lineman broke the lever off the rudder gust lock during handling. For the first two days, I repeatedly called with no callbacks while in class at FlightSafety. On the third day, after they refused my calls, they finally confirmed the part was on a desk awaiting a mechanic. When I followed up days later (planning to depart Saturday), they denied responsibility, claiming the mechanism was overly tight and the lineman only sheared a screw—which they replaced with an oversized one. They had removed other screws during inspection but failed to replace them. They quoted nearly $1, 000 and four hours of labor to clean and repair it—far more than needed. I told them not to touch it; my home mechanic later fixed it in about one hour for free after a simple cleanup. The service was consistently dismissive, arrogant, and unhelpful, with zero accountability for their employee's damage. Thanks for nothing!

David and Josh here at Yingling impressed us so much with the professional, friendly and helpful way they marshalled us in, escorted us in with our rental car even when some ramp improvements were being accomplished, looked after our fuel order, and were fun too. They obviously enjoy their jobs and take pride in excellence. We appreciate the way they took care of our plane. Rachael was so helpful of the phone with our pre-planning, and she was very efficient in ensuring our rental car that we rented online from Enterprise, was brought over to Yingling from the terminal. Rachel was at the desk when we went in, and she was helpful too. The Yingling Aviation staff display excellent teamwork, and we the customers sure win from that.

These guys are generally great. Stayed here previously on long XC, napped in comfy recliner. This time got a ride to super close hotel w/ contracted rate. Only disappointment was I called and asked them to keep plane in hangar until we called again with updated departure, but plane was pulled out already. Morning CSR was a bit borderline snarky, but all other staff super friendly.
