Flew in for an afternoon. Nice facility and welcoming staff. Great local airport. Our C182 spent two nights at this airport on October 4 -6. This staff is on top of it. The Unicom frequency used by the staff to remind us of their location on the airport after we landed, we were marshaled in, provided a courtesy car for the night until the rental car became available the next morning. They arranged the rental car. That evening I received a call from the line staff asking if I wood like the plane placed in the hangar due to the potential for storms to roll through at night. I asked if a belly wash for the 182 could be arranged and that was arranged as well. Tremendous service all around, even with personal recommendations for their favorite BBQ places! Lastly, very competitive prices on fuel and Mogas too.

I go in to LXT fairly often due to a son who lives close. I always use SS gas pump on north end first then tiedown 50 feet away from it. Usually only stay the day or one night but never has anyone ask for payment. Gates on the north end seem to always be open for access, north building is open with lounge and bathrooms.

Everything that AOPA is doing to stop price gouging is happening at this airport. There is no general aviation overnight parking that you can do without paying for it. I stopped at the FBO Hangar 1 and did not need fuel. I am flying a Conquest II. The overnight fee was going to be $175/night if I didn't buy fuel. They have two bathrooms and a tiny office. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR? The lineman did not even help load bags or do basically anything. I could expect to pay $175/night if I pulled up to Million Air, but they have super nice facilities to pay for. It's understood. This place is very basic on a federally funded airport. I understand a place has to make some money. If they actually had a reasonable ramp fee and reasonable fuel prices, I would come back. Not now. FBOs have to realize that price gouging only pays once. Fair prices get people to buy fuel and keep coming back. I hope that the FBO takes this as constructive criticism and makes some changes.

Flew in for a Pilots-n-Paws hand off and the entire staff was very accommodating and friendly.

I volunteer for Pilots n Paws . Last week I flew to Lees Summit to pick up a rescued dog and fly the dog to East MO. Having flown to Lees Summit many times while flying for PnP and was never charged a ramp fee but this time I was charged $15.00 if I didn't buy fuel but I didn't need fuel. The idea being charged a ramp fee for flying any charitable flight is unbelievable. Their web site does say they give a fuel discount to PnP and Angel Flights but it doesn't say how much but I didn't need any fuel.. I didn't need any services except the bathroom. $15 dollars for using the bathroom. It wasn't the amount but their attitude. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Help for getting a car was poor. We were given keys for a one-day usage and the gal didn't know what the car was. We found it by using the key fob. We asked for a compact got a SUV that was half empty. Got charged for 132 miles and we drove 15 miles for a little league tournament. $15 to park the plane for the day and expensive gas. Will do something different next time.
