On July 23 we landed at KOLE for our first fuel stop on a trip from Ohio to Maine in our Cherokee 140. KOLE has a new self-serve pump setup and Larry came out to assist. During the flight we noticed an occasional flickering of the amp gauge. During our preflight at KOLE I noticed a wire that had gotten too close to the exhaust and had melted. Larry and Bruce found us material to repair the wire and since the battery was low they loaned us the battery charger and we charge the battery so we could get started for the next leg of our trip. We really appreciated their help and they went the extra mile for us. The airport runway is in good shape, the SS fuel station is like new and we will definitely make this a stop again in the future. Thanks again to Larry and Bruce.
