When you arrive for fuel, you should taxi to the southwest area of the field. There is a sign designating the FBO is on the southeast corner of the field, however; the 100LL is on the opposite side. Once I figured out where to park for fueling, Mickey was a quick phone call away. If he's not around, there's info in the office adjacent to the fuel pumps where you'll find his number. Good stop and very convenient (quick 12 min. flight) to PNS without the HIGH fuel prices.

Haven't been around Atmore in years, WOW! What a difference a Change in Management Makes..The People and Facility are Awesome! We dropped in trying to be beat the weather to Pensacola...We lost, but Mickey turned it around for us in no time..We refueled and tucked the airplane away in a new hangar for the night (cheapest AV Gas in the area), He took us over to the "Best" Catfish House Restaurant in AL, Mickey set us up with his own car so we could drive to Pensacola and surprise my wife's parents, the next morning we were on our way to Tucson for Xmas...Also what a great community! In the few minutes it took Mickey to arrive, no less than 3 neighbors showed up to check up on us and see if we needed anything, they all knew Mickey and Sue and literally offered they're homes and transportation to us...You just can't beat Southern Hospitality! If my wife succeeds in talking me into moving back, I'm going to live across the street from the Atmore Airport!

Great place to stop for some reasonably priced fuel. Mickey Parker, the airport manager, is always ready to be of service. I highly recommend this stop.

Landed on June 12, 2007 with an engine problem. Mickey Parker, who had just started as the new airport manager, greeted me. He helped me move the airplane to a large new hangar, and quickly diagnosed the engine problem. (He is also and A&P, IA). We ordered the replacement parts for the engine. When UPS delivered the next day, Mr. Parker instantly fixed the engine and I was off within two hours. It was southern hospitality all the way; the mayor even carried me to lunch.

Stopped by on a Friday at 12noon and the place was being renovated, but none of the worker's knew where "the gal" was that could get us gas. After calling around with no luck we went on, only to stop by on a Monday morning around 9:30am. We found "the gal" to be there and got gas. According to Elaine, they are open on Mon-Fri No SAT or SUN fuel service. Sorry, I didn't ask her hour's of operation.

Nice runway and ramp. Fuel pump rusty and apparently inoperative. No aircraft visible and one hangar attached to a house.
