Friendly people at the FBO and good fuel prices. The airport may have been resurfaced as a previous pilot reported; but they sure have a lot of waves in the surface. Definitely want to watch your takeoff weight here since you do get a good look at the tall trees on the way out. If you are allergic to cats like I am, not the place to go.

Runway and taxiway recently repaved. Gentleman at FBO said the ramp (which is quite checkered now) would be done in June. Quick, friendly service, landing fee waived with fuel purchase, and two FBO cats.

Flew in to go to the Flea Market. Flea Market was interesting... :) Karl (Jr, he pointed out) was really nice - made sure we got our tank topped off and offered us a ride to the market. We gave his two beautiful cats a little attention and then took him up on it. Gave us a recommendation on a good restaurant - Filomena's. Told us to ask for Frank, said to let him know we had flown in and he would take good care of us. Unfortunately Frank wasn't working, but Filomena's was great. Had a very nice day and flew home through the sunset. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to recommend the market, but Karl and the airport are just great!

Stopped in here on a charter on Sunday, 6/29/08. Landing fee would have been waived with fuel purchase, but I was unable to avail myself of that due to weight. A great place to visit. Very friendly staff, including the two cats. Waited all day for my customers, and Karl allowed me to use his car to get lunch. Definitely a nice place to visit.

They have courtesy cars, but they wanted it back by 4PM, so I could not use it. He said that were closing at 4PM. I thought that was early for an FBO, who should be available until dusk.

Flew in today to visit the Berlin Farmers Market. 150 thousand sq feet of shops and food. Nothing fancy, but fun. Well worth the $10 landing fee, Carl drove us there and picked us up! Trees at end of 23, but the Bonanza driver in front of me had no problem. Excellent food at the Gourmet Room, ez walk. PS-landing fee waived with 30 gal purchase.
