Flew in with a 3 ship formation of Cessna's for breakfast and fuel on 17 Nov 07. GREAT STOP - highly recommended for great food, good service, reasonable fuel prices, a nicely maintained airport, and good attitudes all around. Thanks for making this a great stop on the way to NY from PA. Sincerely, The Keystone Flight of Carlisle, PA.

A favorite destination; I fly there every other month or so. The cafe is exactly what you would want it to be: good food, friendly folks, and a quirky old-style feel. Lots of non-pilots eat there too, so its open most of the time. Self-serve fuel is a big plus, but not the bargain it used to be relative to neighboring airports. Pretty easy to fly in day or night, but would recommend your first visit be in daylight the runway is hidden by hills on the downwind leg and there is rising terrain in all directions.

Good place to stop enroute to the Midwest for fuel out of the New York area. If it's VFR you can wait until you get to Wilkes approach to open an IFR and avoid the SBJ V6 ETX routing out of TEB, CDW and MMU. Stopped numerous times in the middle of the night for gas.

One of the most beautiful "old timey" airports in NJ. Restaurant is very good, especially the homemade deserts. Try the zucchini cake with maple frosting. New mechanic on field in hangar next to restaurant. AJ is the mechanic and Blairstown Aviation's number is 973 714 6893. Good non-precision Instrument approaches in both directions, rnwy 7/25, if needed. Hangar space available as of this date. New airport owner making many upgrades to airport in general.
