Stopped into Parlin today with 4 other planes. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a helping hand as we topped off after lunch. I can't say enough good about the folks at Parlin Field.

Discovered Parlin in1999. Always "neat as a pin" in a scenic setting just west of Lake Sunapee. Excellent restaurant on field. Complementary bikes, full service FBO and usually lowest 100ll price in New England. Note: the 140 foot trees on the approach to runway 18 (3450 ft) have recently been removed. Best of all, a friendly, helpful reception always.

Flew in Saturday with my wife and two kids. It was a cold windy day but the Lil' Red Baron had great food at fantastic prices. The restaurant was warm and friendly. Afterwards, we taxied down to the far end of the grass strip where there is a covered bridge, park and river including a walking path down the river. This is a great place to go and we will be back again. A beautiful part of the Northeast for sure. 8 thumbs up for the Lil' Red Baron and 2B3!

Flew in to Parlin yesterday in my Cherokee and a friend was flying his RV6. Very friendly and competitive fuel prices. A nice restaurant on the field. I highly recommend it.

Flew in from Nashua with 3 friends for lunch at the Lil' Red Baron. Excellent Mexican food! The chili was very good. Parlin Field is a great destination airport nestled in a little valley close to Lake Sunapee.

It was late on a Sunday afternoon and I had a trip to NJ planned to depart early the next morning. My passengers & NJ hosts had taken vacation, hotel rooms had been booked, and 6 Flags tickets had been purchased. After flying locally all weekend my C-210s transponder went on strike making a trip through NY airspace all but impossible. I called my long time avionics guy Eckhard who agreed to meet me later that evening to remove the faulty transponder & install a loaner. This went off without a hitch. However, when I got there I realized I had an even bigger problem; RML gear tire had gone completely flat on my taxi. (Found out after that the brand of tube was sub-standard and had a tendency to split at the most inopportune times) Eckhard and airport locals Jim & Rick, among others, jumped into action. One guy had a jack, another had a jack pad and a tube, another had blocks & chalks, and everyone retrieved tools & flashlights as by this time the sun was well below the horizon

I found Parlin Field when picking up a friend who left his plane for repairs at Lou Edmonds. The Lil' Red Baron restaurant is right at the field and serves great food at a reasonable price. There was a pit fire outside to take the chill off the air and music. The people that were at the restaurant were friendly as were the owners. I can't say enough about this pearl in the rural town of Newport, NH. We are going to fly back with several more planes and I am sure the place will be crowded with fly in customers as the word spreads.

Flew in for the first time today. Great little airport with really wonderful folks on the field. Restaurant is great. Beautiful area. Runway is in great shape. Landed 36 - no frost heaves - they have worked on that end of the runway. Cheap fuel. Thanks everyone at Parlin.

Great spot to go for lunch or dinner. There is a great Mexican restaurant right there and the approach to the airport is nice with a wind farm on the mountain just to the south of the airport. We have been twice and enjoyed both trips.

Terrific stop for some good lunch at the Mexican restaurant. Friendly field. Use caution however, the NOTAM "RWY 36 FIRST 600 CLSD" is no joke. There are serious frost heaves -- I would not even slow-speed taxi over the beginning section of the runway. Difference in asphalt color denotes the usable portion of the RWY 36. This is as of 3/22. Notwithstanding -- great stop and I will make a point to return.
