Flew in on 12-19-07. Self-serve fuel system is easy to use and prices were as advertised. Terminal building is very nice. Overall, a great place to stop.

Just before landing at Fredrick, OK, we noticed our Grumman Tiger's alternator was not charging. We were surprised there are no mechanics on the big field at Fredrick. We called around and found Fred Hardy and Mike working at 2K4 near Mangum and flew over there. Fred checked our plane out, ordered an alternator at 4 PM on Wednesday, 4/16 and took us over to a nice motel. He picked us up again in the morning at the motel as he came back from UPS with the alternator and had us in the air again at noon Thursday 5/27. Great people and service at 2K4 in Mangum, OK.

Scott Field airport is a great place to stop and visit. Good fuel price, great lighted 4200X75 ft runway, large ramp area with easy access to fuel, FBO building and courstey car. No problem filling with fuel, always avaiable with major credit card.

Flew in Saturday 9/3/05 to get fuel and visit friends, and they're out of gas again. If you're coming cross-country, try to call ahead and check if they've gotten the gas tank refilled yet before you stop.
