Great stop for fuel in the Indy area; nice friendly locals and easy SS fuel pumps..

Very easy fuel stop underneath the KIND class C airspace. Fuel is SS with a CC reader, (No AMEX). Ladder is stored in the Jet-A pump house.

We landed here to visit relatives in nearby Avon (who didn't even know there was an airport nearby). We found inexpensive fuel, no overnight fee, an air-conditioned FBO with Internet service, and a couple of welcoming local pilots. One tip: bring your own tie-down ropes; there were anchors, but no ropes or chains.

I fly in from KFLD in Wisconsin, and use 2R2 to fly into to pick up a friend as she lives in Danville. I find the FBO improving thing's each time I come down. Fuel pump is easy to use 24/7; could have a keyless entry of some sort for after hour use of pilot lounge and bathroom facility, calling FSS and Flight Planning. I rate it a B+ for a small airport.
