Had sort of Jekyll and Hyde experiences here. Landed on 5/26 around 6:15 p.M. And got a lot of 'tude about the very idea that I would want to buy gas at that hour. (As an aside, am I the only one amazed by how many GA business get chippy at you when you're trying to give them money?) I guess his definition of "dusk" was markedly different from mine..... On the other hand, different folks at the desk the morning of the 28th were nice as could be. So I'll give the first guy a pass, and reserve judgment. :) Departed IFR both times into what seemed like Oshkosh-like VFR traffic in the area. Had no problems at all with NY ATC.

I have to agree with the comment from almost three years ago. The service was deplorable at best. Everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder like we were inconveniencing them for landing at their airport. No rental cars, no courtesy car, the free coffee was .35/cup, $6.04/gal jet fuel and we were charged a $50.00 landing fee and for being there less than an hour. Getting out even VFR with NY Center was a hassle. I'd recommend another airport at all cost.

I have been flying from 39N ever since the Nierenberg's purchased the airport, and before. I find everyone from owners to counter help, to line service very helpful. I flew everything from 152's to a Navajo, and found it to be a rewarding experience every time. Princeton is a great place to fly from.

I have just been informed $10 landing fee for a single $25 for a twin and $50 for a turbine.

Response from Naomi Nierenberg, Raritan Valley Flying School
There seems to be some confusion about landing fees at 39N. If you are a commercial operator and don't purchase fuel, there is a landing fee. If you stay only an hour and are not commercial, the fees are waived. If you purchase fuel, there is no landing fee, however overnight fees still stand. $10 - single engine; $25 - multi-engine; turbine - $50. There are no crew cars. If staff are going for food, they are always willing to take visitors with them or pick up food for them. There are a few food places that deliver to the airport. We welcome all and hope you enjoy our modern facilities.
