Camping facilities are still great. Van still costs $8 round trip into town and the airstrip is still one of the nicest grass fields you will ever land on! Bring you hiking shoes and go see the area while you're here. It's pretty hot mid-day but once the sun goes behind the ridgeline it's very pleasant in the valley.

We spent several days camped at this jewel of an airport. The State of Idaho provides everything anyone could want. They do have a box for contributions. I certainly hope everyone can go there at least once in his or her flying career. What a fabulous facility. Thank you to all that are responsible

Perfect jewel of a turf strip in the Idaho backcountry. Friendly airport caretakers, hot showers, camping, and a courtesy car to get to the small town of Yellow Pine nearby. The strip is in a canyon and mountain-flying experience is recommended.

Please keep your snowmobiles off of the active airports. The strips, 3U2 & U60 (Big Creek) are used by the Yellow Pine General Store & Motel owners Year round! Thank You.
