The jewel of the backcountry is still in excellent shape. The runway, tiedowns, campsites, and facilities are all in great condition. They even have high-speed wireless Internet on the field now for flight planning and email.

Grass strip looks great. Spot burns in the canyon from the recent fire. Campgrounds very clean and well kept. North camping very loud due to a number of pilots needlessly departing right over the tie downs and camping sites.

Camping facilities are still great. Van still costs $8 round trip into town and the airstrip is still one of the nicest grass fields you will ever land on! Bring you hiking shoes and go see the area while you're here. It's pretty hot mid-day but once the sun goes behind the ridgeline it's very pleasant in the valley.
