Newer self-serve pumps worked well. Grass tie-downs available. 24-hour office with rest rooms and chairs (but not much else--no shower or courtesy car). Not a bad walk into town but about 2 miles. We got a ride back thankfully! If you do walk to town, head east on the paved road first, then south on John Wayne Drive (Winterset, IA is apparently the birthplace of John Wayne). If you go south out of the airport parking lot you will walk mostly on a dirt road. If on John Wayne, it's paved and you might get a ride.
