Flew into airport 11 May and stayed overnight. Very friendly staff. They provided me with a crew car, which helped, as there really is no cab service. There is both a restaurant and a hotel within walking distance. Self-serve fuel is available although a little pricey. Reasonable tie downs at no charge. Be careful of surrounding terrain.

I fly here frequently commuting from home to work. Two weeks ago I had power loss on takeoff, so decided to turn back and land. Jake (FBO owner) drove me back to my truck parked at the Waynesburg Airport -- a 45 minute drive each way! -- After we pushed my antique tube-and-fabric airplane into the hangar. John Strope from Strope A/C Maintenance repaired the problem. Then I had to wait for the weather to clear. A week later I was ready to fly the airplane home -- when I asked how much it would be for hangar rent -- "no charge." Chris the maintenance manager threw my prop and soon I was flying again. Airports staffed with people like this is what real grass roots aviation is all about. Though I don't burn much 100LL, I'll be buying more fuel at 4G7 any time I'm in the area!

Great small town airport. Super friendly staff from AC Express (FBO). Crew car available. Easily within walking distance of hotels and food. Can't wait to return.

Great little public field. Self-serve fuel, free tiedown space, plus an open FBO with restrooms.
