THRESHOLD RANCH RESIDENTIAL AIRPARK near completion. Only 8 runway frontage lots remain. There's no better location or runway amenity in Texas. A very special place for those who want the convenience of a metro area with a country lifestyle ambience, and of course, an instrument runway in your back yard. www.5c1.net/thresholdranch.htm Please visit our site if you're thinking of a move to this area. We're 10 minutes to Boerne, 18 minutes to the outer Loop, 25 minutes to downtown S.A., yet very rural in setting and appeal. A truly unique geographic setting. |

I concur with everything to like about this airport, as described above, except the prices. I know that paving the ramp is expensive and it takes $$$ to operate an FBO, but having among the highest fuel prices around PLUS $20/night for a tiedown are not "aircraft friendly." I fly 200+ hours a year, all over the country on business, and I have never once paid more $10/night for a tiedown, and that is only at executive-type airports or FBO's at Class C's. I can't figure this one out, but it explains why there are so few airplanes tied down whenever I stop in.

Nice airport in Hill Country of NW San Antonio. Transient parking area is very nice with fresh concrete and painted lines. Tie down ropes are also available and clearly marked. Runway is in outstanding shape with a fresh surface and runway markings.

Robert & Michelle were great to work with. I fly from N. Texas to San Antonio, but use 5C1. Easy RNAV approach and nice runway. They're always willing to help in any way. I recommend Boerne Stage Field for anyone flying to the San Antonio area.

My family and I flew in for a visit to Six Flags. Michelle was absolutely fantastic. She met our flight, directed us to parking and had the courtesy car with and area map ready to go. We will be back!

My daughter moved to San Antonio 4 years ago for grad school. We tried all of the airports in town and found that Boerne Stage is the best choice in San Antonio. We have been in and out of there over a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Service, fuel prices, and ease of use make it a great choice.
