Nice facilities in a good area. Warning to those who might land after hours: The FBO for some reason feels it is necessary to have a big pit bull running loose at night on the ramp. It was friendly enough, but while the passengers were loading their car, it came tearing across the ramp out of the darkness directly at them at full speed, barking at them. It understandably upset the passengers. Again, it was nice enough but should you be arriving at night, especially with children, be warned.

Lots of changes in 20 years since my last visit. Appears to be very active. Many hangers and types of aircraft. We parked south of the big hangar on the north end, east side where the flags are. Fuel behind and east of that hangar, near the tiedown. Using 35 one must back taxi for all available runway. Cars cross the runway on the north end. Cars drive on the Taxi Way. Used the courtesy car to visit the town and eat lunch, a few minutes west off I-10. Enjoyed our day, thank you for allowing us to use your airport and car.

I've flown into 5C1 twice and have had good service each time. I used the courtesy car each time to go into the medical center area in San Antonio. The fuel is much cheaper than KSAT.

We flew in for a 3-day conference near Sea World. Michelle took care of us and her referrals for a rental car (not on their website) and lunch were great. Hope to return soon.
