Boerne Stage Field is a self serve facility and the most conveniently located field of its kind in Texas. 20 minutes from Loop 410, 10 minutes from La Cantera, 15 minutes from Tapatio Springs, and surrounded by some of the finest suburban communities in the region, including new residential lots on the field.B We have internet, wi-fi, showers, bunks, on line weather and all the neat stuff you need to enjoy flying, but we do not have a full time greeter or line boy. The mechanics, a CFI or airport owner will do what they can to help you, but most of the time you'll need to tie down and carry your bags.B You'll need to know where the keys are for the courtesy car if you have it reserved.B Our fuel prices are what they are because we do not have the payroll costs for "red carpet" service.B We do not receive federal funding, either. Our surveys of pilots indicate they would rather have the fuel discount than pay for a "greeter" on the ramp.B Thanks for understanding and not anticipating a rush of people to pamper you on arrival.

Our PC-12 is based at 5C1. New hangars are being built for folks realizing the convenience of operating out of this field. The airport is growing and improvements are under way. Looks like more transient parking space is being constructed next to the FBO. Cheaper fuel and easy to get in and out of (versus KSAT). Folks on the field are very friendly. Check it out!!!

Bob is the nicest owner operator I have met. He is helpful, cheerful and accommodating. The pilots based at the field have also been helpful in assisting me when parking by plane. The facility is well kept and it is always a joy stopping overnight at this facility.

Canceled planned 2/2 flight to 5C1 due to inability to obtain parking info for aircraft with 43' wingspan. On the morning of 2/1 a call for info rolled to automated mailbox that was full and not accepting messages; a call later in the day 2/1 reached the owner/operators voice mail; the recorded message was - "send an email". By morning on 2/2 there was no response to the email so I cancelled the flight. Website has link for transient parking but no dimensional info; on previous quick turns at 5C1 no parking was readily apparent for larger wingspans without blocking taxi and fueling areas.
