The Fly Inn Again restaurant is great! One of Michigan's top $100 hamburger spots for sure, if not #1. They are open rather early and we dropped in at 7am - breakfast was great. Food and service was great, clean facility and the restaurant is ~75 yds from the ramp. Self-Serve is available. Brush up on your SF procedures before going. Note that Runway 9 has a shorter displaced threshold, which gives you ~ 200' more runway, and there aren't as many tall obstacles next to the Rwy 9 threshold as there are for Rwy 27 - so if winds aren't a factor, try for Rwy 9. There are some tall trees near the approach end of Rwy 27.

The Fly Inn is cash or check only! This keeps their prices down and makes it a great bargain (just don't forget to bring cash - don't ask me how I know!)

The Plainwell Airport "Fly Inn Restaurant" is still the best airport restaurant in Michigan. Their new building is fantastic, the service is outstanding and the burgers & onion rings are the best I have ever had. Their breakfast are great, as well. I have never had the pleasure of eating dinner there, but I'm certain you won't be disappointed Their New Hours: Mon-Fri: 6:30am-2: 30pm. Wed-Thur-Fri: 5:00pm-8:00pm. Sat: 6:30am-2:00pm and NOW SUNDAY: 7:00am-11: 30am!! They stop serving breakfast at 11:00am on Sunday. Located at the east end of runway 09/27(2650" x 50' Asphalt-rough). Practice your shortfield approaches and takeoffs. Cubs to King Airs, they run the gamut.

Still a great place to go! Very friendly and small, but share a table with others.
