After reading the preceding reviews, I had made my mind to refuel someplace else. That would have been a mistake. The self-service pump located midfield, on the south side near the log cabin, is one the better ones that I've used. The card reader is in a small building that even has a Coke machine in it. Gas prices are among the best in metro Atlanta.

I just got 100LL at the west end self-service pump and got water in the gas. We just had a lot of rain. This airport has no weekend call out numbers so I hung a sign in the shack until in the morning when someone comes in. These pumps are notoriously INOP or out of fuel and not maintained well, the ramp pavement around both sides is extremely uneven for an airport and a airplane rolling away or a prop strike is possible if you don't have help and know where the low spots are. I agree with the other comments - this airport is not concerned with price or customer service.

The only operable SS fuel was at the FBO. It's a nutsy operation as the ramp to the pump is DOWNHILL. Once in position it's mandatory to set a park brake or the plane will roll into the pump. There are no chocks in the pump area so dug my own out. Then, to clear the pump one has to PUSH hard back uphill while carrying a chock. Within feet I hit the crest where it's impossible to push back any farther, so I tossed the chock I was holding under the nose wheel to keep the plane from rolling back toward the pump. I had to then get in the cockpit, set the brake again, get back out, retrieve my chock, start up and swing clear of the pump. Whoever Ok’ed this pump set up must've been drinking at the time. NO HELP from the kid working inside with NO OTHER active planes at the FBO; there was one plane parked on the entire FBO ramp.

Griffin is an excellent airport for general aviation aircraft and the fuel is very reasonable. However, the local flight school FLY BOYS FLIGHT CENTER will take a "deposit" from your credit or debit of USD 1000.00 without your knowledge or permission, so |BEWARE||! Recommend going up the road to |Tara |Field for your airplane rentals and flight training.

Pulled up in our King Air. Was not greeted for any kind of services. Closed on Sundays with no call out numbers. Airport is for general aviation self-service avgas and needs some education on serving corporate aircraft.

Great fuel stop in the Atlanta area! The FBO is at the approach end of Rwy 32. There are 2 self serve pits -- midfield and at the FBO. If you use the FBO one, park parallel to the fuel pit (one wing pointing at the pump) as it is on a very steep grade and you may not be able to push the plane back by yourself otherwise...Locals park parallel so they can taxi out. Line said transients get stuck all the time and need help pushing back. No courtesy car, but they are getting one next year and will give you a ride to local eateries if desired. FBO not manned on Sundays.

Self serve prices are the best in the area. Use the self serve pump mid field. The one by the FBO is on a hillside making it hard to fill up. They have clean facilities and friendly people!

Great gas prices on self serve. When my wife says facilities are clean, they are clean. Thanks from a frequent customer!
