This is a pretty neat airport. We came in around 2pm and the owner gave us the courtesy car right away. He offered us advice on local attractions and some stock tips :) To my surprise, he even allowed us to return the car after-hour. The owner didn't mention any thing about purchasing avgas at the FBO. We will definitely come back next time and buy avgas. FYI, we caught tons of crabs at the South Jetty, but they were uniformly undersize. Maybe we need to wait sometime for them to grow up.

I have to say this is among the best kept small airports that I ever visited. The place is simply beautiful. The folks at the FBO are very friendly, and they have several courtesy cars! I flew in with my wife and daughter, borrowed the courtesy car and went to the Heceta Head lighthouse. We went to the old town afterwards and had dinner. Florence is a wonderful place to visit. If you drop by, please help support this airport by buying fuel there. The price is pretty good. Make sure you fill up gas on the courtesy car before returning.

Nice place to stop! We had to land due to bad weather and the airport manager found us a car for the last 25 miles of our trip. Watch out for deer on the runway and large sand dune on North end of runway. Nice tie downs.
