Recently flew into Northampton for a visit to UMass. I have to say that they did a great job improving the airport. The people behind the desk were very friendly and very helpful. If you happen to be in the area do yourself a favor and stop by this airport.

Very friendly FBO with nice facilities. City is nearby with numerous places to eat and outside vendors, etc.

Stopped for a passenger pickup on a Sunday and couldn’t leave again because of fouled plug that wouldn't clear. They towed us into the maintenance hangar; found us a ride back to our home base, very reasonable charges to fix the problem, including a night in a hangar to let the airplane defrost before we picked it up. Exceptional service.

Very nice airport. My wife says the bathroom is the best of any GA airport she's seen (that is a big compliment).

We stopped in for a night and we were very pleased with the improvements since I was there 2 yrs. Ago. I had a very nice conversation with Mike @ Northampton Aeronautics, and the new terminal building is beautiful. The runway is in great shape also. This is a Great gem of an airport very close to the fun town.

Stopped in with a King Air C90 on 4/15/07. Easy in and out thanks to the exceptional service from Northampton Aeronautics and Mike Byrnes. We appreciate the great service and atmosphere!

Stopped in at 7B2 on 10/9/06 for a quick visit to UMASS and was very pleasantly surprised at this gem that's overshadowed by larger airports to the South. Although the runway is shorter and parking is mostly grass, do not avoid this airport since the people there are very friendly and accommodating.

Stopped at 7B0 September 27 to use the head. The FBO is a new building and there is a Sectional painted on the wall that you could almost navigate by. The person at the FBO was very nice and they did not charge me a landing fee.

I learned to fly at Northampton Airport in 1973 and had only been back a handful of times since then after moving to Rhode Island then Connecticut for the past 27 years. My 1948 Luscombe was coming due for an annual and I heard only positive things about the new owners of Northampton Airport and more so about the maintenance staff there. I contacted Mr. John Bishop in the maintenance side and arrangements were made . Upon completion of the annual my plane was spotless and John explained all that was done and the log entries. Very professional and thorough. When I paid my bill at the main office I was greeted by another friendly man who greeted me with a handshake and smile...Upon announcing my departure from 14, a thank you came over the radio. Thirty years ago Northampton was the home of friendly flying and the tradition continues. I will be back. Thanks.

Airport used to be a fun place. New owners did nice improvements but killed the atmosphere. Be careful; if you do something they don't like they'll immediately report you to the FAA.

Response from Northampton Aeronautics Inc.
As manager of the airport I value your comments both positive and negative. I do take issue with the comment "if you do something we don't like we'll immediately report you to the FAA". While I cannot answer for others, the management of this airport has never reported anyone to the FAA for such reasons. It will always be our goal to provide a safe and positive atmosphere for our pilot community.
