Stopped in this afternoon for fuel... The place was DESERTED! Not one plane on the ramp, and none of the buildings were open. Maybe it was because it was a Saturday? Unfortunately I didn't have time to call the phone numbers on the side of the fuel tank and wait for an attendant. The only people I saw were two guys in an Explorer driving on the ramp, I guess they were locals curious as to why I was there. I had to go to Waco (ACT) for fuel instead. Nice small airport though, I'd definitely try to fuel up there again... Just be sure someone will be there!

Response from J. Talley, Clifton Aero
Whenever P49 opens up without the constant TFR's, we hope to provide a pay at the pump. Right now the traffic flow would not justify the cost.

Clifton Aero has recently upgraded their courtesy car from a police car to a Jeep! It's nice! Also, the airport has had a major makeover - repaved runway, runway & taxi lights, and a fence surrounding the airport for animal control. Great work!
