I liked this place so much I came back with my buddies! The KEYSTONE FLIGHT out of Central PA arrived here in a 6-ship formation for an early breakfast - outstanding! The field is in great shape - both the paved and turf sections. This is one fun and challenging airport! Breakfast is great at the clubhouse -- this place is worth a journey from near or far! Keep up the great work! Mike Marra

Flew in today in a Cirrus SR20. Landed 34 (uphill, so be careful on the flare). Departed 16 (downhill). No wind today, but very humid and hot which made me a bit uneasy about departing. If I had to depart uphill, I would not have been ok going from paved to turf - UPHILL on a humid day. Remember that your planes performance will degrade going from paved to turf on take off roll, so best to depart downhill (starting on turf), ending up on paved. It’s definitely a challenge the first time. I would do it again, but not in a Cirrus (which needs more take off roll and more landing roll than many other singles).

Flew here yesterday from 1N9 to practice an unusual landing strip. Beautiful airport enviroment, haven"t tried the golf course yet but will came back for the breakfast.

Great course! Flew in both days over the weekend to play and eat. Land on 34 if possible as it has an uphill slant but not to worry as there is a lot of grass runway left after the pavement which by the way is smooth changing from pavement to grass. Met the owner who flies a 310 out of there with no problem. Now till Dec 16th, the restaurant is open 7-1pm everyday. Closed Dec 17 thru Jan 3rd. Open Fri, Sat and Sun through Feb.

Excellent airport! Challenging place to land and take-off, so do your W+B correctly, especially on hot days! Runway is in great condition - both paved and turf. Golfers on the airport are very respectful, but in many ways pretty bold about playing and driving by airplanes nearby - not a problem, but just be aware. Someone in a cart drove right underneath my plane as I was in the flare - probably 25 feet above him - he waved! The food is great at the restaurant there - good prices. Check ahead for fuel availability, as the pump is not by credit card, but has a key you get in the golf clubhouse. Very, very friendly service throughout - highly recommended stop to play golf, eat, or just see one of the most interesting runways on the East Coast.
