This airport is a hidden gem. The people were friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful airport to fly into. We rented a car from the local Blue Heron Autos in Guntersville. The car was waiting for us when we got there. My wife and I will be visiting there again.

Flew in on March 31st in my Lake Buccaneer. Absolutely beautiful strip and the manager were there to help with fuel, hotel and restaurant recommendations. Also loaned me the courtesy car for the night. Great stop, I will be back.

Flew into Guntersville in a Mooney 7/8/06 for a few hours to drop a student off at a local summer camp. Had called a few days earlier and thanks to the FBO was able to set up delivery of a car from Enterprise to be waiting for us. A nice, quiet airport with friendly people. It's also beautifully situated, a very scenic arrival & departure. It was raining when we departed so we didn't take fuel, but will the next time we're there.

If you like flying into scenic airports, this is one to put on your list. Either approach brings you in over the Tennessee River. Fuel price was average for the area but service was great. Facility is old, but nice. I was told they are going to get a DUATS system in the near future.

Flew R22 for fuel very nice airport and girlfriend said very clean restroom. Sad to hear the WW1 war birds have been sold. Will stop by again.
