Outstanding service here. Nice homey little FBO. They take good care of my airplane. I spent May out there and they hangared my airplane for a reasonable rate. Flew out this Sunday to have shrimp at Boss Oyster (great place for dinner/lunch) and they let us use the crew car. Nice folks, great airport dog...Worth a trip just for the shrimp!

Apalachicola is so fortune to have such a wonderful and historic airport serving the Forgotten Coast, plus the added dedication and great service provided by Bill, Pat, and Mike. How many FBO operators check the internet for incoming aircraft and have the hangar open with the car parked outside without ever making such a request - reminds me of the old days when people really cared! NOW THAT's VALUE ADDED SERVICE!

Stayed in St. George for a week. Flew in on a Friday morning for gas. Paid $5.95 for full service 100LL, 34 gallons, NO landing fees, NO handling fees, SUPER service and great people...Oh yeah, and Lady the dog! Definitely return here soon!

Nice folks. A taxi for three people for the two-and-a-half mile trip into town was $19 each way. Opt for the $10/hr car if you're just getting lunch.

WONDERFUL SERVICE! Pat, Bill, Mike, and Warren are super! Service is way above average and ramp fee is only 5.00 a night, which is great considering the extra security. When the chips were down with my dead battery they were quick to rally with well-maintained equipment and tools. They were reluctant to charge for the extra service. Very easy airport to fly in and out of compared to many Florida airports in the vicinity of moa's, etc. I think the county does charge them a small fortune for the land lease and like many county commissions and city councils across this country would like to see them close and sell the airport property to their developer buddies. I was chairman of the county commission in seventh fastest growing county in the U.S and know how bad it can be for aviation. So... Let's all patronize this airport and tell the government to shove it!

Nice folks, but YES their prices are high. Fuel is bad enough for the small country airport, but the ramp fee is totally out of line. No airport of this size that is not private charges this kind of ramp fee.

Bill, Pat, Mike, Warren and Lady (the dog) and Samantha (the cat) have always been nothing but extremely friendly, helpful and a pleasure in the many times I have had cause to stay over. If no ride is available from the local hotel they always run me in. Ramp fee and fuel prices are not out of line - it's a small airport without the high traffic to fund it. Small price to pay to be with nice down to earth and genuine folks. Gets my vote every time. Runway 13/31 just been resurfaced (not that I use it in a helicopter :)

Very helpful and friendly folks. We have used their facilities on several trips, and always had a good reception for FBO services and rental cars.

I love flying into AAF, even if the runways have seen better days. The people there are incredibly nice and personable. Everyone should meet Mike, Dave, Pat, and Lady the dog. You'll feel like one of the family.

I flew in the other morning to pick up a passenger. I did get some fuel and my passanger arrived while they were fueling the airplane. I did see a sign for $10 per hour for the crew car. That is too bad this FBO charges for the crew car even with buying fuel. Fuel by the way is very expensive. After fueling the airplane I paid for the fuel and noticed a ramp fee. I let the person behind the counter know I wasn't pleased for charging me a ramp fee for just being there for 15min plus buying $300 of fuel. I will try not to fly into Apalachicola just so I don't have to deal with this FBO.

Flew into AAF once again on 3/24/06. Same good experience I've always had. Was not charged a ramp fee and paid very little for the use of the crew car. Kept the car for several hours. On departure, had radio problems and the FBO drove out to the end of the runway to offer assistance. Thanks again!

Stopped in AAF last month. Was charged $37.10 ramp fee to park my twin for 4 hours!!! The only service they provided was a line boy to "park" me on a ramp with no other planes. Some guy who appeared to work there looked at airplanes to buy on the computer terminal the whole time I was waiting there for my pax, so I couldn't even check the weather or file my flight plan. T-Mobile service does not work here! I have never seen a pay for "courtesy" car!! what a crock!

Well, the staff there is friendly but...where is all the money going?? I mean, they charge a landing fee, $10 per hour for the "courtesy" car, and fuel is out of sight!! Someone is filling their pockets. Like I said though, the staff was very friendly but you just hate to feel like you're being nickeled and dimed.

I tied down with this FBO for 4 nights over the New Year's holiday. Although I think the prices are high for this level of airport ($4.55/gal and $45/day plus taxes for a Dodge Neon), the people staffing the line and front desk were friendly and helpful.

Have flown into AAF several times over the past few years and have never had the experiences mentioned by some pilots. The runways do need some attention, as the FBO readily admits. Have always been treated courteously. Flew in on 12/27/05 for lunch and was charged $10 per hour for use of a crew car. That has been the price for a number of years. Was told that since I rented their car, I would not be charged a ramp fee, even though I didn't buy fuel. In fact, I've never bought fuel, and have always been treated with the same respect and courtesy. They are prompt in answering calls for airport advisories, and will quickly call local B&B's to notify them of your arrival. Most B&B's will be waiting with transportation when you land. The restaurants in town are great and I will return. Overall, I've always enjoyed my trips to AAF!

I have need to fly into AAF on a regular if infrequent basis. Airport management has been going downhill for some time. Discovered yesterday a new ramp fee, $10 for singles, $15 for twins levied for any amount of time spent on the ramp. I spent 4 hours there and was charged $15.90. Fuel has always been overpriced there, so I avoid it whenever possible. My suggestion, go to Panama City and drive to Apalachicola if you need to get there. FBO owner blamed the County Commission raising his rent for the new fees and suggested that they'd rather see it as a Wal-Mart parking lot. He's well on his way to helping them do it.

My suggestion to any pilot in any aircraft is, never fly into this airport. We stopped for no longer than three minutes just to get out and stretch and we were informed in an extremely rude manner that, "you know there is a $10.00 ramp fee." They didn't tell us that on the radio when we asked! This airport staff is horrible and should go work in something besides service. The AAF runways are in horrible condition and so are the people that work there. I've never met anybody at any airport that was that rude. If you need to stop around here, just go to PFN or something. It's not worth coming in to AAF unless you just feel like getting in an argument with somebody. They don't deserve your business at all, trust me. AAF = TROUBLE!
