From Scott Dweck on 03-Apr-2008: Great hospitality! Make sure to go in to town and eat at the "Wagon Wheel." The chicken fried steak is homemade and the best I've had.

From Kevin Martin on 20-Jul-2007: Great place to stop; super friendly and helpful folks. Fuel is reasonably priced and they give a discount if you have a pen. Great crew car and good food in town. Primo stop if you're in the area.
From Don Laurila on 16-Aug-2006: Stopped for fuel 8/15/2006. Super friendly. Fueled our bird and cleaned the windscreen. Offered loaner car if we wanted to go into town. Also gave us a discount on fuel without asking. A great place. Will definitely stop again.
From Chris Planinshek on 30-Aug-2005: Great place to stop for fuel and to take a break. Haven't been into town, but a loaner car was offered if I wanted to go. Staff was very friendly, even de-bugged my windshield. Fuel is reasonable too. I definitely recommend stopping there for if you need a fuel stop and are in the vicinity.
From Bill Ferrier on 08-Aug-2005: Landed at Alturas for fuel. Nice friendly FBO came out to greet me. He fueled my plane, washed my windshield, and offered use of his loaner car. Fuel prices were not bad, at around 3.40/gallon (never thought I would say that at that price!). FBO will give you a pen that allows a .20 discount per gallon on your next visit for fuel. Good experience, would return. They do not have 24 hour fuel though, although I suspect if you called them they would meet you there. Watch density altitude, especially in summer.
