If you don't need the FBO, suggest you tie down at main terminal/tower (no charge for overnight). Only difficulty is getting someone to let you back out to the airplane. Must check out the terminal building. It looks like it is still back in the 1940s. Their staff (especially Vinny!!!) is attentive, helpful and friendly. Their Jet-A prices BLOW KPIT AWAY, and their service is many, many times better than I have EVER received at KPIT. We came in our Lear 40 and had the best service of the month. Cars were ready plane side, pax were taken care of, crew reservations was taken care of, and Rachel even had us some fresh cookies and directions printed out to our hotel. When I first pulled up on the ramp the FBO building did not look like much but from the moment I stepped off the aircraft the service was first class from the lineman to the great staff inside. Heather, Rachael and John went out of their way to make us feel at home and that building well there is a old saying don't judge a book by it's cover. Excellent service. Overnighted for an early A.M. Demo flight (4 pax, lots of bags, nervous mom, autistic child, long flight to BCT) Snow reported for overnight so we opted for the hangar. ($75.00...Cheap!) They put us right up front, nose to the door. Vinny the line guy was outstanding. Drove the pax through the A.O.A. Into the hangar, loaded planeside in the warmth, valet the car and promised to have it washed when they returned. Great price on JetA too (less than $4.00/gal). Highly recommended. The manager of line service and the manager of customer service are really out to treat you right, and the management I've met have a refreshingly people-oriented attitude. WiFi and an Internet terminal (for those without a laptop), fresh-baked cookies, and a fine coffee machine. They plan to get 100LL in March 2008, and look to me to be on schedule to do that. Have not had better or more friendly service anywhere. FBO and line staff is outstanding. Temporary mobile facility for FBO, but very comfortable...Just beginning to build new FBO facility. Flew our Hawker in this weekend and got an awesome fuel price for buying 450 gallons. The limo was directed alongside the aircraft before I was able to shut the beacon off. We hung out in the temporary but very comfortable FBO while the new hangar is being built across the way.
