Stopped in 9/26 and 10/3. Always make this our stop eastbound and westbound. Gas is not the cheapest, but Gaylene and everyone else has always been very helpful. Arranged for crew car and hotel. The hotels in town are often full, and this can be a problem but we have always gotten a room. 3 nice long runways. Amazing how many planes they can fit in the hangar when bad weather is coming. Ate at a new Mexican restaurant that has only been open a couple months, family run and very good. Carhenge is a local attraction worth seeing.

I rated this 5 stars not because of facilities or price but service. I was flying my Lancair and diverted here for weather. When I landed it was late afternoon and nobody was around. Within 20 minutes the storms moved in very quickly and a local sprayer drove in and moved me into the hangar and called the FBO manager. Within minutes I had keys to the old (but running) crew car and he even called the local motel to make sure room was available. In this small town airport I was hangared and gone within minutes and never had to make a call. That is just outstanding and shows people care. Fantastic service and thanks everyone. This is a small old airport with old facilities and large spray operations and the fuel is not the cheapest. However, when I find small quiet airports where people provide great service I try to support them. This is one of them.

Made two stops this summer and as usual we got a quick turnaround, great service, even when they got a bit busy. Friendly staff and nice place to stop with the family.

We were traveling from the Milwaukee area to Las Vegas and made a fuel stop in our Beech 33A. Although winds were gusting to 30, the three-runway configuration had our winds just 20 degrees off the nose for an easy arrival. Fuel was a bit pricey but was full serve from the truck, and we received a ten-cent per gallon discount for using our AvFuel card. Very helpful and friendly staff inside.

Coming from Oshkosh after EAA Alliance was our overnight in a 1945 Grumman Widgeon. Everyone at Heartland Aviation was very helpful. The pushed the airplane into the hangar for the night. We took the courtesy van into town for the night. They had recommendations on food that was good. They were there to help us get it out in the morning. We filled the tanks and were on our way. In the summer, keep an eye out for the crop dusters, they are very accomplished at what they do and even though it might seem dangerous to you, they are very aware of your presence and do their work and flying in a professional manner.

A reasonable stop. We had a crop-duster land 20 seconds *behind* us, without making a single radio call. He was off shortly, but it made for an interesting sight, as we hurriedly taxied our plane into the grass to give him "the active", just in case he landed long. Keep your head on a swivel.

On our way back to CA from OSH 7/31 we stopped for fuel. As we taxied for TO, we had a wheel fire which FBO owner Jeff Jensen helped us put out saving the plane. He and his brother then made the necessary repairs while Gaylene took care of us. Price was excellent; workmanship top drawer and we were on our way in less than 3 hours. These folks are wonderful!

Not enough space provided to tell the story but Jeff Jensen saved our plane from burning to the ground then he and his brother repaired it at a very reasonable cost and had us on our way in less than three hours. All the while, Gaylene took great care of us. These people are great! I will go out of my way to use them in the future.

Had to divert here due to weather on 6/29/09. Arrived an hour before they closed at 7pm, but they happily gave us the courtesy van keys, put our plane in the hangar, and offered to come out whenever we were ready to leave. The weather cleared at 2100, and they were right there to pull use out and see us off. Terminal has good weather/internet terminal and a comfortable lounge with satellite TV and a selection of VHS movies. I only wished I could have bought more fuel from them. If you pass through, don't forget to visit Carhenge.

KPWA - KAIA December 9, 2004. Could not make Cheyenne due to wind on surface. Alliance was the next best thing. The folks at Heartland Aviation were extremely nice and offered a courtesy vehicle to me to get lunch while the plane was refueled. They let me use their computer to aid in my revised flight planning to Great Falls. Excellent people and place to stop fuel was the cheapest on this flight
