Good gas/pit stop. Ops building was open and very clean, but unattended. SS pump worked without a hitch. Clean facility and good spot to enjoy a sandwich. (bring your own) Otherwise, quick in and out. Minimal flight training in the pattern on the weekends.

Stopped enroute to/fr NJ over Memorial Day Weekend. SS pump worked fine on my Visa card. Had a sack lunch so didn't go to the diner. Easy access to the terminal. Clean lobby and restrooms. No paper towels in the restroom. No vending machines or "honor system" snacks available so come with your own food or plan to go to the diner. Student touch and go activities during both stops. One plane only. Quiet, quick turn around. Will stop again.

Stopped by Wakefield on Christmas Eve planned to stop for gas. I call make sure they had gas the message stated that they did. Landed at 6pm, pump was not working, call several after hours phone# no one helped me, had to walk almost 2miles for the nearest gas station, left the airport almost 10pm

Stopped in yesterday afternoon so my son could use the restroom. Decided to purchase some fuel for the Baron but credit card machine for fuel pump was not working. At $4.10 per gallon it is more expensive than many other airports around the area so try elsewhere.

Flew into Wakefield Airport today to refuel. It is not a really fancy FBO. In fact it's as basic as they come. The facilities were clean though. We took a pretty long stroll into town and found the Virginia Diner. It is a must.

Stopped by Wakefield on SAT 22AUG about noon, everything was locked-up tight. No bathroom access, no water fountain access, and no phone access. The only exterior phone is out of service. Needless to say my daughter and wife weren't too happy with my choice of stopping points.

I checked the posted 100LL prices for AKQ on AirNav this morning, July 14, 2009. I was happy to see a posted price of $3.19 updated on July 13, 2009. I was not happy to be charged $4.09 when I refueled this afternoon.
