		The runway was closed for repaving and will be re-opening in mid-November, 2011.

		The only runway is closed as of late September 2011. It's hard to find information on when it might reopen. Surprisingly, no information is available on the airport website, where the last update appears to have occurred in 2009.

		Carl (the airport manager) could not have done more to make my visit pleasant. He is the personal, down home service that the mega FBOs can only dream of.

		What a great place to stop for lunch! My friend Vernon and I flew there to try out my new C340. Carl greeted us outside the FBO and offered us a car to drive to town. He saw us taking pictures with our cell phones of the plane sitting on the tarmac with breathtakingly beautiful mountains in the background and brought out his own camera to take pictures that he would then email us. Thanks for making us feel welcome Carl!

		This is a great FBO. My wife and I were greeted first thing by Carl and 2 cold bottles of water. Fuel prices were great and service was over and above. I will tell all about this place. Thanks Carl for all the help.

		I fly into Alexander a few times every year. Every year it's great service. Visit, stay, buy gas, ski, raft, fish, relax in the hot springs and you won't want to leave.
