When I am in ARR, I always use LumanAir despite the other guys trying to wave me over there. I am sure they are good too but LumanAir has never let me down. They have had several opportunities to do so. Not only have I been in there a few times lately but it has never been in ideal conditions. Weather was bad and passengers were late and I was having "one-of-those" days. Thanks to LumanAir for saving me on several occasions.

Rented a C172 and C182RG in August with Lumanair. The checkout process was very easy and the prices are the lowest I've seen in the Chicago area. Not to mention friendly customer service when I arrived and prompt line service...I'm definitely going to be returning to Lumanair the next time at ARR!

Accidentally showed up in the FBO thinking they owned the self-serve pump we had just topped of at. Not only did they still give us the crew car they were some of the nicest and most helpful people we have dealt with. We were in the area for the next three days and had the same great service with every fuel stop. They were also able to repair our flat tire as quick as possible. Thanks again and we will always come back to Lumanair whenever we are near Chicago.

Dropped by on the way home from Dallas as I use Lumanair as my fuel stop on the way home to Chicago Executive. Prices are drastically lower and well worth the stop. The Lumanair people I have come in contact with are always terrific. That said, if I can get tower to let me land on runway 9 and depart on 36 (headed north toward home) I can be in and out in less than 15 minutes (depending on my landing skills). Always have fuel and the card reader always does a great job. I will return again.

Spent the weekend prior to Oshkosh at Lumanair after having some work done on the field. No charge for tiedown, and they gave me the "tenant" rate for fuel since I was having work done. Excellent service getting towed from the maintenance hangar and prompt fueling. I'll be back!

Stayed with Lumanair for a week in May while doing aerial survey work. Prompt, friendly, and helpful on a daily basis as we moved our C310 in and out of the hangar for work and for weather. Down to earth good people!

Fly into ARR frequently over 30 plus years. Lumanair has always been excellent in service and kindness. Last trip heater in my Golden Eagle 421 failed at FL170 and -35. On a Sat their mechanic fixed charging only one hour reg rate. Heated hangar. Fantastic service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Flew my RV into KARR for a weekend stay in October. Lumanair ramp employees were helpful, especially the woman working behind the desk (can't remember her name). She found us transportation to our hotel (line guy in his personal car) and helped with restaurant recommendations. Fuel isn't the cheapest, but they don't break your back either. We met the owner (90+ yr old woman) when we were leaving, and she was really sweet. Only complaint is they have a pilot shop, but it didn't have any of our needed sectionals for the trip home. We will definitely use them again on our next trip to the Aurora area.

Stopped for quick/relatively cheap gas on the way to Chicago. Easy in/out, just outside of the ORD Class B. Credit card reader on the SS pump was out of order; folks behind the desk were very apologetic and gave me the SS rate from the truck--nice! Recommend calling ahead if you'll arrive after hours, since the SS gas may not be available.

Stopped in for fuel on my way to MSN and these guys couldn't have been nicer. I was marshaled right in, and they were very quick with the fuel. The line guys even offered to clean off the windshield while they fueled me up! Service the way it ought to be - thanks guys!

I had an interesting, but pleasant experience with Lumanair. I bought an airplane and they did the pre-buy/annual on it, I hoped to pick it up on Wednesday even though they told me it might not be ready, I went anyway. When I arrived in Chicago, Al had called and left a message that they had an issue with a fuel pump. Long story short, it was ready Friday night late, Rick stayed way past closing time to make sure it was right, even gave me his home number, just in case. Well, Saturday morning we discovered a fuel leak and Rick was out within 15 minutes and got me on my way. He even waited until I took off before he went home. All the employees were nice and understanding, even getting me a discounted hotel room and some great suggestions for things to do. I even met "Ma Luman" at 90 something, she's a hoot! I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

The Guys (and ladies) at Lumanair continue to impress me. I have flown into Aurora a number of times this summer and the service is consistently top-notch and professional. The line guys are prompt, courteous and professional, the office staff make sure you are a completely satisfied customer and your needs are met. Wonderful service, wonderful staff.

My family and I stopped here last week on a trip from Pa to ND, all I can say is this is by far the BEST FBO I have used in a long time. We landed right in front of a big storm they had us in a hangar before my wife and kids even got out of the plane. They went out of their way to get us a room even thou there was a big event in town. I highly highly recommend using Lumanair :-)

Great place to stop. They gave me self-serve prices because they forgot to mention it was available. Got us a discount hotel room and loaned us the courtesy car. Could not have been nicer or move helpful.

I stopped at Lumanair for an overnighter last Wednesday. They took care of all my airplane needs, recommended a nice, new hotel, and arranged transportation both ways. An enjoyable stop - I'll go back.

Recently I spent a long weekend at Aurora, IL. With my plane at the FBO, Lumanair. When some very sever weather was moving in to the area, a phone call and my plane was safely tucked away in a Lumanair hangar. The following weekend I arrived on Friday with a fuel leak, it was fixed by Monday morning. Lumanair provided quick and timely help and makes a visit to ARR a pleasant experience. The friendly folks at Lumanair sure help make flying a lot more fun.

Good early morning fuel stop. At 6 a.M. The place seemed deserted, but the self-serve island is at the edge of the huge ramp and easy to find and use.

Hopped over from ORD due to high fuel prices at Signature there ($7.66 vs. $3.01 for 100LL on 3/23/09). Line service was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
