It would be nice if there were a computer to use to file and print a flight plan(s). I was told there was a weather computer but you can't do that from WSI. Told that to the guy behind the desk and then was told there is Wifi. That's great, still can't print from Wifi. Was told I should have made prior arrangements for a computer. Am I supposed to know this stuff ahead of time when I've never been here? Obvious they don't deal with corporate aircraft on a regular basis. Don't go out of the way to let me access your computer behind the counter to print a flight plan, cost your business from me buying jet fuel. Bottom line, if you need Internet to print a flight plan, do it before you get here.
My wife and I flew in to AUW in our Skyhawk for an overnight. After calling them on the Unicom, they had called our hotel (Jefferson Street Inn), which sent a cab free of charge. Everyone at Wausau Flying Service was friendly. Had us gassed up promptly the next morning...No ramp fee. We will stop back again. Also, we had dinner at the Back When Cafe...Excellent food and service. The Inn (more like a hotel) was nice, but weekend breakfast service was horrible. Josh at the front desk gave us a ride to the airport for free...Nice guy.
