Stayed with this fine FBO for a week while I did some work in the area. Landed on a late afternoon in pouring rain and 400' overcast ceilings and a sick passenger. They were johnny on the spot with umbrellas to get us inside, fuel was reasonable (if you call gas these days reasonable) and was fueled as requested. Parking for a 172 was $4 a day, agreeable given the service that they rendered. OVERALL GRADE: A

Stopped in at AVP to escape the outrageous gas prices at TEB on Wednesday evening (May 2nd). Even later in the evening (8PM), we found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional. We enjoyed the coffee, the wireless Internet to catch up on some emails, and the flat-screen TV in the pilot's lounge. Keep up the good work!

During a trip from California to New York last year I flew into First Flight when it was still Tech Aviation. It was an unplanned stop that I made because I threw an alternator belt. My experience at Tech Aviation was outstanding!! The line crew was polite and very helpful. I decided to leave my plane there for a few days while visiting my daughter nearby. While the plane was there, the maintenance staff ordered a replacement belt (and some spares I wanted), installed the new belt, checked the battery, check ran the engine, and called me on my cell phone to let me know that the plane would be ready when I returned. Everything was done as promised and on time. The pricing was fair and everyone was pleasant and professional. They absolutely exceeded expectations and I could not have asked for more. I'll be making the same trip this year and First Flight will definitely be a scheduled stop.

I can't say enough about the experience we had while landing at KAVP, and Tech Aviation; ATC is extremely professional/helpful; Judy had the courtesy van ready to go, and the food at Damon's is out of this world! My hat is off to the great airport, and the people that make it run. Great personal service; well done!

Excellent service. I used the FBO three times during my private pilot training in August of '05. The staff, from the lineman to the receptionist at the counter were courteous, informative, and made me feel as welcome as if were a 5000+ hour G-5 driver. A nicely laid out pilot's lounge with full briefing room, DUATS, phone for FSS, fresh coffee, and a TV room with very comfortable reclining chairs. The FBO offers self-service vending machines and a microwave oven. A comfortable stopover for transient pilots and highly recommended by this pilot.

Another example of a huge Jet A price increase just several weeks after an Airnav fuel price report. No concession or apology by FBO. Friendly service. Based on new price, no advantage stopping here vs. just using big city FBO. AirNav users encouraged to call FBO or use guaranteed price FBO's in these days of dramatic daily price increases.

Great service. Friendly staff. Lineman directed us to a spot in front of the terminal, then parked and fueled the aircraft. Offered ride to main terminal to rent a car, and upon return, you can leave the car at the FBO and they will take care of it for you. Alamo rental desk EXTREMELY slow, took 1/2 hour to rent car with a reservation, and first 2 vehicles had inoperable 12v power outlets. This DOES NOT reflect on the FBO. If time is important, rent from Hertz and they will leave the car at the FBO for you.

Visited Tech Air on 4-19. Hazleton was NOTAMed closed that morning, and the woman behind the counter at Tech Air was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for our passengers.
